The President of the Republic, Mr Danny Faure, attended the 29^thedition of the annual Teachers’ Awards Presentation Ceremony at International Conference Centre Seychelles (ICCS) this evening.

He had the honour of presenting Ms Linda Marie from Baie Ste Anne primary school with the Award for Longest Serving Teacher. Ms Marie has served as a teacher for 43 years. 

Teachers who have served in the teaching profession for 25 years as well as those who are retired or will be retired at the end of the year were also recognised during the ceremony.

A total of 25 teachers received trophies and prizes for their commitment and hard work over 25 years of service in education, while 20 retiring teachers received awards for their years of dedication to the profession.
