• Protect workers and employers fundamental rights
• Seek settlement of grievance by mediation, negotiation
• Prosecutes criminal complaints Handles appeal against mediation, negotiation and adjudication
• Register job seekers and issues job cards
• Register vacancies for the purpose of referral and records, referral of job seekers to prospective employer organizations
• Administer the implementation of the unemployment relief scheme according to relevant legislation
